Nikki Jongedyk
Remedial massage therapist and lymphoedema practitioner
I have been practicing as a masseuse for over 10 years. I completed my Diploma in Remedial Massage in 2022. In May 2023, I qualified as a Lymphoedema Practitioner. I hold certificates in Swedish, Trigger Point, Dry needling, Myofascial cupping, Deep Tissue massage and am member of the Massage & Myotherapy Australia.
I discovered my passion for massage during my former career as a veterinary nurse and certified animal trainer. I was initially drawn to massage to help break the ‘self-indulgence versus self-care’ stigma. A big advocate for consistent, monthly care, I enjoy creating a safe place for people to have some time out, focus on their own health, and reduce both their physical and mental stresses.
“I like connecting with my clients, ensuring they feel heard and understand their treatment plan. I encourage clients to continue their self-care in their everyday life, so that they can live life to the fullest. Whether it be a maintenance session, a de-stress relaxation session, or a specific injury that needs rehab – I am honored to be a part of each individual’s journey”.
I love being in the water; finding that it is emotionally cleansing, it gets my body moving and water activities motivate me to stretch and stay fit. I value how my personal interest in movement and fitness augments my professional training.
My next step as a therapist is further training in biomechanics. I will be teaming up with a specialist to broaden my skill set and am endeavoring to expand my programs to be more individually specific.
I moved from South Australia to Margaret River with my husband, where we enjoyed the Southwest lifestyle for over a decade. We relocated to Horrocks in 2025; which we use as a base for when we are back in the country. For now, we are enjoying living on Cocos Island.
